We've also had the crazy broody hens, in fact we still have one who, whenever we let her out of the coop before she's laid, will lay in our laundry basket. That's not "old laundry basket outside" that's "laundry basket in the middle of being used, inside". I'm envious of the way you've got the whole life cycle going there with your hens. We don't have any hatching or slaughtering going on, just sterile eggs. Hey there – I’ve been reading your blog too.
